Our New Headteacher
Lordswood is pleased to announce that, following a rigorous recruitment process, Mrs Kerry Cooney has been appointed as the new Headteacher of Lordswood Girls’ School and Sixth Form Centre. 

Mrs Cooney will commence her post from 1st September 2021 following the retirement of our current Headteacher, Mrs Jane Götschel. Mrs Cooney is currently the Deputy Headteacher of Hodge Hill Girls’ School and brings a wealth of experience from a variety of educational establishments, including three large 11-18 secondary schools.

Everyone is looking forward to Mrs Cooney leading our outstanding school and we are confident that the school will continue to go from strength to strength under her leadership. We know you will want to join us in wishing her all the best in her new role.

Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day
LGS and LSFC raised an awesome £625 for Save the Children! Well done everyone!

UKMT Senior Maths Challenge
Well done to all LSFC students who took part in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge. A number of students did particularly well scoring high marks and therefore have been recognised with a UKMT award.

Year 13 Success
Our Year 13 Extended-Diploma in Health and Social Care have all completed Unit 16 to a distinction level. This is a great achievement for the group!

The Lordswood Writing Collective
