I’m not sure what subjects I want to study, and what if I change my mind?
You will need to select subjects when you apply to us to help us to plan our curriculum and staffing. If you change your mind you should let us know. There will be a transition period at the start of Year 12 where there will be an opportunity to change your subjects if they are not right for you.
I’m worried I won’t get the grades for my chosen courses, what next?
On enrolment day a member of staff will be on hand to discuss your application. If you have not met our requirements we can usually offer you an alternative programme of study.
I didn’t attend Lordswood for my lower years education, will I be the only one?
We are proud to say that students from a very wide range of schools choose Lordswood Sixth Form Centre due to our results and personal recommendations. We have over 50 external students each year and they soon become part of the Lordswood family. We are a friendly and supportive Sixth Form!
I am a late applicant, is there still a chance I can get a place at your Sixth Form?
Please get in touch and we can let you know if we still have places in the sixth form and for your chosen courses.
I have previously studied abroad and my qualifications are from a different country, will you be able to accept me?
We need to be satisfied that your qualifications are the equivalent to GCSEs. Provide us with as much information as possible about examinations you have taken and the results achieved. We will consider these on a case by case basis.
Visit our applying page to submit your application.
